Registration Fee $25: This one time registration fee includes the New Client Meet and Greet, a lockbox for you to keep, and Time to Pet software app and portal set-up.
During the Meet and Greet, you will meet your primary sitter and he/she will get to know you and your pets. We will learn your pet/home care routine, determine the best place for your lockbox (with key), and pick up a back-up key for the office. Please have two keys ready at this meeting.
Interview-only meetings (no services scheduled at time of consultation) All new and potential clients pay the $25 one time registration fee (see above). The fee is non-refundable even if you choose not to use us. Alternatively, We encourage potential clients to view our testimonials page and reviews from other sources to gain a comfort level about The Pet Sitter of Boise, LLC and to talk to us about your needs.
Drop By’s: In addition to the New Client Meet and Greet, many clients prefer that the sitter stop by prior to each vacation to review instructions, meet new pets, see new things in the home, etc. We are happy to stop by. We schedule a regular visit ($25) for these visits. Alternatively, we are happy to review instructions over the phone, via email, or updated client profiles for no charge.
Keys/Lockout: Two keys to the home will be given to The Pet Sitter, LLC at the initial New Client Meet and Greet. Keys are identified by the client’s first name and last initial, plus a pet’s name. One key is retained by The Pet Sitter, LLC and one key will remain in the lockbox we will provide for you. Garage codes are not accepted in lieu of house keys as a primary means of entry to your home. For those wishing to get keys back, There are three options: Personal return by an employee of The Pet Sitter, LLC ($20 charge for pick up or drop off of the keys), keys returned by The Pet Sitter, LLC via certified mail ($20 charge) or client may pick up and return keys free of charge to the office located at 12350 W. Lachlan St., Boise, ID 83709 by appointment only. In the event that The Pet Sitter, LLC is required to employ a locksmith to gain entry into a client’s premises due to the malfunction of the lock, or failure of Client to provide a functioning key to The Pet Sitter, LLC, it shall be the responsibility of Client to reimburse The Pet Sitter, LLC for all costs incurred. The Client expressly gives The Pet Sitter, LLC the authority to employ a locksmith on Client’s behalf in the event of the aforementioned circumstance(s). All keys are identified by the pet names and password protected Power Pet Sitter ID number. For the safety of your pets, garage codes are not acceptable as the first means of entrance to your home, but we will accept them as a secondary means of entry only.
Cancellations: Regular visits may be cancelled, without charge, by 7am the day of the visit. Visits not cancelled will be charged the regular visit fee.
Minimum Visits: Cats must be visited a minimum of once per every other day. Dogs without a doggie door must be visited no less than twice per day. If you have a special situation, please call to discuss.
Scheduling:
Preferred: We prefer scheduling to be done through Time to Pet, our scheduling software.the office at 208-484-2969 and we will help you. You will receive an email confirmation/invoice. Please review the visit dates and times and let us know if there is a discrepancy. Paper invoices will be provided to those without internet access.
Unacceptable: Contacting the pet sitters directly for any reason is not allowed. They have been instructed to redirect calls for scheduling back to me. All scheduling must go through the office. 208-484-2969.
Payment: Payment must be made no later than the start of the pet sitting job. We prefer a check left in a designated place in your home, such as the kitchen counter for the sitter to pick up. Cash, check or credit card are preferred.
Pet Product Pick-Up: There is a $10 fee to pick up additional pet food or necessities that run out during the pet sitting job.
Return Home Verification: Please send a message through Time to Pet to inform us that you’ve made it home safely. This is important for the well being of your pets.
Miscellaneous tips:
-Please avoid elective surgeries and vet care for two weeks prior to your time away. Examples include vaccinations, spay/neuter, teeth cleaning, etc. If there is a reaction, we may not be there to see it and this could put your pet in a life threatening situation.
-Please update/verify all contact information prior to your time away. Sometimes emergency contacts change their phone numbers or you may wish to change emergency contacts for various reasons.
– Please confirm the lockbox works and contains a working house key.
-Please notify neighbors that we will be visiting your home while you are away. Feel free to give them our phone number to call if they have concerns about your pets or home.
-Keep the type of food constant for at least a couple of weeks prior to your time away. Also, please make sure there is enough food on hand to make it through your time away. Exception is perishable food such as lettuce and crickets for reptiles.
-Trip itineraries are nice, but not required. Please include names of hotels and phone numbers.
