FAQ's

Q: How do I get started?
A: You may call us or contact us by filling out the Contact Us form. We'll get back to you promptly, usually within the hour. If you don't have any questions, and are ready to schedule your first pet sitting appointment, you may jump right to the New Client Registration (gray/purple paw print) on our home page. Once completed, you may schedule your pet sitting on-line any time. We receive a notification email when these steps are completed and we will contact you to set up a free consultation.

A: We are trustworthy, experienced, reliable pet sitters. First and foremost, we are passionate about pets. We are there on time and we carry out the responsibilities assigned to us in a caring, responsible manner. The Pet Sitter, LLC has been in business for 8 years and we are insured (see policy coverage/limits below). We are members of Professional United Pet Sitters International and First Aid Certified. Each contracting pet sitter is hand selected and has a proven track record working with animals. All sitters are background checked, insured and bonded. If an emergency should occur, we will send a back-up sitter.  We cover Boise, Meridian, Eagle, and Kuna.
A: We leave notes or send texts and/or emails documenting everything that happened during our visit. We include detail on your pet's health, happiness level, and eating patterns, etc. We also comment on the status of your home. We also encourage you to call or email anytime to check in. We also use pet sitting software so that we can verify all visits were made as scheduled.
A: We require you notify us upon your return. If we don't hear from you, we call you. If we still don't hear from you, we continue our services until you return. The pets ALWAYS come first.

Q: Can you provide references?
A:
We come with many references from satisfied clients. Check out our testimonial page, see our photo galleary of pet clients, or feel free to ask us for the contact information of a client that you can call directly.

Q: Do you have black-out dates?
A: No. If one of our sitters is out due to illness, emergency or vacation, the other sitters take over his/her responsibilities. If this happens, we will make every attempt for you to meet your substitute sitter before you leave for your trip/vacation. All pet sitters are background checked, insured and bonded. See policy information below.

Q: Do you bring your children to pet sitting assignments in my home?:
A: No. We love children, but our focused attention is always on your pets while we are in your home. Children may unintentionally add liability and we would never subject our clients to the variety of risks associated with having children in your home and around your pets (i.e. getting bit, leaving doors open/pets escaping, etc.).
A: We prefer at least 2 days notice, but in an emergency situation, we will aim to meet with you immediately. The free consultation is an absolute requirement before we can do our first pet sitting visit. At the consultation we meet with you to discuss your specific needs, meet your pet(s) and take care of logistics such as the key exchange and contract signing.
